Here at Sunbeam Family Services T/A Sugar Plum Tree Nursery, we care for children aged from 3 months to 5 years old. We are located across two sites, Greenleaf Road and Erskine Road, which are just a few minutes’ walk from each other.

Erskine Road Site is our under three’s provision. Here the babies enjoy exploring the colourful and stimulating play environment. The main play area is open plan with lots of space for fun activities. There is a separate library and sensory space where the babies enjoy some quiet time, sharing stories or exploring different textures and sights with all their senses. At nap time, babies sleep in a soothing separate sleep room where they can rest uninterrupted from the main play area. The outdoor area is designed with the needs of the babies in mind. The floor is covered in a protective outdoor play mats and has plenty of space for physical play.

Greenleaf Road Site is where our toddlers and pre-schoolers are located. Situated within the grounds of the William Morris Community Centre, the children play in the main play area which is bright and inviting. They dress up in the role play area, build and create in the construction area and experiment with messy play activities. There is a separate ICT area and quiet room where the children engage in different activities and rest or sleep uninterrupted at nap time. The children enjoy free flow to the extensive outdoor spaces which include a large field ideal for physical play and team games, as well a smaller outdoor play area complete with home corner, peace garden and large play equipment such as climbing frames and tunnels.

We are open Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6.30pm, 50 weeks of the year.

We welcome families in the receipt of Family Tax Credits and Childcare Vouchers. We also offer places to children aged 2-5 years’ old who are eligible for the Free Early Education Entitlement Grant (FEEE). Children entitled to this can attend our setting for 15 – 30 hours a week.
