A little bit about us
Sugar Plum Tree Nursery is based in the heart of Walthamstow and located close to Walthamstow Central bus, train and underground station, as well as Blackhorse Road and Queens Road Train Stations. We are surrounded by a vibrant community with many fantastic local amenities and places of interest all within walking distance for our children to enjoy, such as Walthamstow Market, Vestry House Museum and Lloyds Park.
We are an Outstanding Ofsted graded provision with a real community focus. We believe that children learn from being given fun learning opportunities which are meaningful and purposeful and we pride ourselves on our approach to “planting roots for early learning”.
Sugar Plum Tree nursery was established in 2003 in response to a local need for good quality childcare provision. Since then we have grown and expanded and have cared for hundreds of local children who have successfully continued on in their own personal learning journeys.
Sunbeam Sugar Plum Tree Nursery has two sites close to each other; we have the Erskine Site for the 0-30 months & Greenleaf site for the 2-5 year olds. For view our gallery to see more.
Our Ethos and Mission Statement
We are dedicated to ensuring that each child’s experience of learning within our setting is a happy, stimulating and a safe one. We strive through a play based curriculum to support children in all aspects of their development and consistently have expectations for high levels of progress for each child’s learning and achievements.
We pride ourselves in our holistic approach which promotes British values, cultural diversity, recognises and celebrates the individual achievements of every child and their family.
We believe that actively working in partnership with parents and carers helps to build strong relationships between them, the staff team and the children, as well as the wider community and having a social responsibility.
